Parenting question
Sorry to ask this here. If anyone knows a group that I could join that would work better please let me know.

My husband cannot take my daughter's crying. She gets upset over things like demanding to be held while we are making dinner. We tell her we can't we try to be loving and understanding but she cries and cries. if he wasn't home I would ignore her and she'd eventually stop because it isn't getting her anywhere but when he is home he gets upset, and frustrated. She feeds off of his upset and his back and forth giving in and saying he can't. It makes life hell. Do any of you have any experience in dealing with a husband and an almost two year old and surviving?!

parenting101 would be a good community to ask that question in.

My suggestion would be to ask hubby to try distraction, rather than the giving in/saying no cycle (which clearly isn't working). Like when you/he can't hold her because you're cooking, try to interest her in playing with a favorite toy/book/whatever. Or maybe offer a snack to distract her.
