2nd B-days
Hard to believe that it's getting closer and closer but we are only two months away and I'm starting to think about what we wil do to celebrate Ceridwen turning two. I was currious if anyone here knows what they are doing already?

We don't really "do" big birthday things with our kids, although now that my oldest is going to be 5 and is in school, we'll have a kid-party for him (in July).

That said, my mom is FINALLY going to meet my kids (we live in different countries), and she'll be here for Z's 2nd birthday - which also happens to be her BFFs birthday, so she's coming with. It's going to be awesome. :)

It's pretty hard to plan a party because our families are in another state or in the same state but 3 hours away. (And the ones that are 3 hours away don't travel. At all.)

So rather than having a birthday party, we're going to do something special and fun for Lily. My MIL is going to be here for Lily's birthday, so we're thinking we'll all go to the Children's Museum.

Oh, and she'll have a small party at daycare -- I'm planning to take cupcakes in to share with her daycare class for her bday.

a cousin has a birthday within a week or two of Melody's, so I think we are going to get the families together for one big get together. I don't think we are going to do anything spectacular, maybe rent a fun jump or go to her grandmothers that has a pool. I plan on having her decorations dora themed. My mom is going to try to make her a dora cake.

Sounds like most people are taking it easy. I was thinking about another park birthday party but I'm just not sure. We could do it in our backyard but I really don't think it'll be cleaned up enough by her B-day. I don't think we'll do anything expensive but I do want her to have a party.

I think we'll have a small party with friends while my husband is home in March at our house, then I'll have my dad's family over the weekend of his birthday in April at my parents' house. They love celebrating birthdays.

Our family and friends are very spread out and we did a big thing last year for his 1st (since we had to share his baptism with our niece) so he would have a party to himself. I'm not expecting everyone to go crazy this year.
